For Summer (May-August) 2002 Commentary: I've decided to cram all of my summer strips into one page here. During Summer Session, the Kaleo (UH's newspaper) only came out once a week. Because of this, I knew that I couldn't really do storylines, since people would tend to forget from week to week (as you can see, though, I started doing a storyline toward the end of the Summer, anyway... so sue me). Some had actually said that I lost some of my edge during my first few Summer strips, blaming it on Vanessa. I guess they thought that having a girlfriend changed me a little. Actually, I think it probably did. I wasn't as bitter in these strips. But I think that's what people missed. I tried to bring it back toward the end of the Summer, but I don't know. Of course...I have PLENTY to be bitter about now! God damn it... --May 12, 2003
