For January 2003 Commentary: As the last semester of my undergraduate college career begun, reality began to set in: I would be graduating soon, and the strip would be ending. I mean, don't get me wrong, I was excited to graduate, but at the same time, there were things I was used to .. like college life, for one. I graduated from high school back in 96. Yep, it took me THAT long to graduate (I changed majors a few times). I had been drawing the comic for over five years. It was weird to think that it was finally ending. There were so many times I would draw a strip and not give a shit. But this last semester was different. I wanted to make sure that I could be proud of my work this semester, if nothing else. I wanted to make a difference. I wanted to draw the strips that I always wanted to draw, and try completely new and whack things. I wanted people to remember me. It burned in me. Haha okay well it wasn't THAT psycho, but I really wanted to have fun drawing this time around. And definitely wanted to do all the things I only dreamt about before. This included my animal strips and posting my email for reader feedback. Check out FEBRUARY'S strips! --May 12, 2003
